Pakistan Forward

Pakistan Forward's immediate aims are to raise funds  so that those most affected by the floods have basic food and shelter. In the long term however, we aim to be a dynamic network of young, dedicated individuals committed to helping Pakistan achieve it’s potential through proactive media engagement and charitable enterprise. We aim to change distorted perceptions about Pakistan, by instilling a sense of pride in being British Pakistanis. We hope to encourage young British Pakistanis to act as exemplary citizens, contributing to their communities and developing a positive and active role in British and Pakistan society.

For Pakistan Forward to be a truly strong and influential network, we are seeking partners who share a common vision for the future of Pakistan. Our vision is to target key areas where change is quintessential to make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people; education, health, government accountability, energy and infrastructure. We seek involvement by individuals, charities, interest groups, student organisations, young professionals, corporate firms, and business networks who share our values. Through our network, we hope to raise awareness and capital to help move Pakistan to a better future. 

We aim to connect those people with common goals for Pakistan to come together and make a concerted effort. Currently, thousands of people are engaged in fundraising activities. Once we build our network, we could help bring these individual efforts together  to achieve results.

For instance, a charity can find partners for fundraising, whether they be students from local schools and universities or young professionals seeking Corporate Social Responsibility projects for their firm to get involved in. If young individuals are seeking sponsorship for charitable endeavours, we would hope to connect them to interested parties who would encourage and support their efforts, as well as providing their expertise and act as mentors.

•  Pakistan Forward hopes to become trusted channel for philanthropy directed at increasing socio-economic development in Pakistan. We will achieve this by being accountable, transparent and professional.

• We hope to be an all-inclusive umbrella organisation which will involve the British Pakistani community and other stakeholders to ensure Pakistan’s rehabilitation in the long run. By tapping into the youth’s enthusiasm, talent, financial capital and desire to see a better Pakistan, we will achieve our goals.

The possibilities are endless. People who are passionate about the future of Pakistan would be able to aid its development. We in the British-Pakistani community can to combine their efforts, motivating and inspiring each other to promote change in Pakistan.
